Rural Fashion Girl (RFG) is a response to the urban centric fashion world. Fashion doesn't just happen in cities. Here at RFG, we acknowledge and embrace the rural woman's unique way of life and killer sense of style.
We celebrate women whose catwalk is a main street or dirt road. We support the diversity of rural women, all of whom are building their communities in some way. We invite ladies to get together for fun and fashion through our special events. And we encourage rural women to support and empower each other.
Shop our carefully selected clothing and accessories. Attend our events. Access our fashion services and education. Contact us anytime. We'd love to hear from you!
The Founding Fashionistas of RFG
Kristen Prpich, Owner & Director of Operations
Kristen grew up eating perogies and flipping through Sears catalogues, circling outfits and creating fashion boards before Pinterest existed. Her exposure to fashion through satellite television, via her dad’s satellite business, allowed her to learn about world fashions and develop a style eye at an early age. Kristen’s been a savvy shopper her entire life, mixing low-end and high-end, and always searching for a good deal and investment piece that fits within her budget.
Kristen approaches fashion like she does life. She has fun. Kristen started Rural Fashion Girl in her beloved hometown after a series of administrative and retail positions. She wanted to make sure that rural women can run down to the store, or check out the website, and buy something that they love. Her hope is that Rural Fashion Girl makes women feel good about themselves and creates opportunities for them to learn and grow, and, of course, have fun.
